Library

St. Mary’s Group boasts of a state of the art Digital and physical library acts as it is the source of learning and is key pedestal of our institution. Despite being in the Digitalized arena, yet we need to learn and respect the core values of a Library.

At St. Mary’s, we focus on the ever trending dynamics of Books and Magazines which will keep the candidates updated regarding the present trends and happenings in the Visual Arts and Design Industry. We understand that the candidate needs to have a very transparent picture about the Future post he/she has completed the Academic studies. Updating themselves with the Current as well as the General knowledge and at the same time making themselves aware about the myriad (different) whereabouts beyond their Subject is truly a Quintessential requirement.

Digital Library

A number of CDs, audio and videocassettes are also available. The students have access to 20 multimedia PCs. The Library has a Digital Library facility provided by TEXT TEXT and is a member of DELNET and AICTE-INDEST Consortium. Full access to Digital Libraries of IEEE, ASME, ASCE along with those of NPTEL, DELNET/IESTC, Videeya and Knimbus is available. An index of Open Access Journals is also provided.

Smart Class Rooms

Smart Classrooms is the mandatory need of the day. These classrooms are completely digitalized because setting this trend of studying through Projector will always favor them more and more when they commence (start) with their Job lives. Whether it is meant to attend a professional meeting or else a Company Training, these days every parameter works through Power point presentation and a candidate needs to have the utmost cognizance (knowledge) in the professional etiquettes of delivering the most decent and professional presentation. The Smart rooms are well equipped with the Projector and the required screen on it. Additionally, we also possess the mike for the Audio system and at the day end, we possess sufficient Computers/Laptops which are connected to the Projector to access the Digital content on the same.

Laboratory

Our Laboratory meets and surpasses the requirements of the university, is the quintessential requirement of a candidate who needs to practice vigorously on the screen and keep on monitoring the effects of the scenes and modifying and re modifying the images in the Multimedia. They have to be well versed with the Colors, Images and the Designs and the Drawings. Moreover, they need to be very specific about the animations and the associated dimensions. Keeping this parameter in mind, our Laboratories are well sufficed with the Light Board and the Cameras. Not to forget, the plenary (complete) instrumentation is of the latest brand. Additionally, we do have the Green Mat rooms. Apart from this, the Clay Modeling rooms are the most basic and candidates have the absolute liberty to access these spacious assets in order to fulfill their scattered dreams towards a Dream career!!

Cafeteria

Cafeteria is an integral part of any College/University. It is believed that a healthy mind has always the most basic requirement of keeping the tummy full. Commencing from every type of snack item, our Cafeteria serves all the different beverages and also the North Indian and Chinese dishes. Additionally, one can get access to the plethora candies, pastries and chocolates which vary in taste and essence. It is spacious and can accommodate multiple people at a time. The drinking water is fresh and sterilized. The rates are fixed, but at the same time it is kept at a marginal standpoint, wherein each and every student can afford to have it happily.

Miscellanous Activities

St. Mary’s Visual Arts and Design Degree College focuses on the eclectic and holistic development of a candidate. Skills and by this we mean that “Accessory and Additional Skills” are the key grounds wherein a candidate can uplift him/herself in today’s aggravated Job scenario. Every candidate is extraordinary. We do not expect every candidate to work or else shine in their careers only in the domain of Visual Arts and Design. Taste changes with the time!! Keeping this parameter in mind, we always encourage our students to participate exclusively in Sports and Cultural activities, wherein they can not only rejuvenate their minds but also boost their level of Confidence and particular Interpersonal traits such as Concentration as well as the basic Cognitive parameters. Through multiple Cultural activities such as Skits and Public speeches, we put our endeavor to make the student come up with their cocooned thoughts and impart a proper and finally the right shape to such imaginations, after all they are the ones who are creative and the more they explore their Creativity, the more can they succeed in their respective field of Study. At the same time, in order to make these activities happen, we have sorted out certain more than one Student Clubs which will be monitored by the candidates themselves. These work on specific hours post the regular Academic hours. The clubs work on miscellaneous activities such as “Poetries, Dramas, Elocutions, Quiz, Extempores, Just a Minute sessions as well as Interactive games” which are not only fun filled, but also favor the candidate to stand “Out of the Box.”
